Pam, As my mother draws closer to her maker, I want to thank you for all that you have done for her, and for our family. In no small way, you and Asheir Manor have been a miracle. You and your staff have become her family the ways that my sister and I could not. I believe that she feels safe and at peace. She has tested your devotion to her, and has grown comfortable with you and your staff... Pam, you and Asheir Manor have solved a problem that, for us, was unsolvable. Without judging, you have given my mother the love and dignity that every human being deserves. It has allowed my sister and me to focus on our good-byes which, at this stage, is the way that it should be. Thank you
Truly the most loving environment I've encountered after looking every where for a place for my mom. You are so unique and have so much loving to offer. I'm excited for mom to move in... She will feel like she is still at home in your beautiful home facility and I will feel relieved and confident that she is well taken care off with a Nurse Practitioner there.
Thank you to owners Dave and Pam and all the staff at Asheir Manor for the quality and compassionate care you gave my mom. My mom Lillian lived at your facility the last 8 months of her life. I was able to rest easy knowing that she was so well cared for. It was not feasible for my brother and I to bring our mother to our homes and we did not want her to go into a Nursing Home. Asheir Manor was the perfect fit. She was able to live the last chapter of her life in a clean, comfortable, well staffed home where she received quality care and real compassion. I am happy to be a reference for Asheir Manor. Thank you again to all at Asheir Manor.
I looked high and low for an assisted living facility for my mom who has Parkinson's Disease and Parkinson's dementia. I had visited many places and did not make the connection with any of them. They were very business-like. When I called Pam, the owner of Asheir Manor, she was very friendly and courteous, and invited me to visit that very afternoon. When I drove up to the house I was amazed at the beautiful landscaping and the lovely wrap-around porch. It was very inviting. Pam greeted me warmly and we sat in the lovely front room to talk. I had a whole list of questions, and she answered every one of them thoroughly. We toured the house, and I knew that this is where I wanted my mom. The intake process went very smoothly. My mom has been there a month and I cannot speak highly enough of Pam and her caregivers. They are friendly, courteous, and engaging with my mom. It is not always easy taking care of people with dementia, and they are all so very patient and kind, and treat my mother with dignity. The house is spotless, homey, and warm. When there is an emergency, and there have been a couple since moving in, it is dealt with promptly and professionally, but also with empathy and compassion. Pam is always there with a kind, supportive word, a hand to hold, and a hug to let you know that things will be alright. I cannot speak highly enough of Pam and her caregivers. As difficult as it is to move a loved one into assisted living, my husband, a former chief of staff at a local hospital, and I, could not be happier with Asheir Manor.
Our bright, beautiful, self-sufficient mother, Jacqueline, suffered a devastating medical event in the spring of 2015. Even after months of rehabilitation it became clear she would never return to her independent-living apartment. We needed a place where our mother would be well-cared for while my sister set about preparing her home so our mother would be able to live out her remaining years with family. A brief stay at a large, institutional-style nursing home proved unsatisfactory. A nurse there suggested a smaller setting such as Asheir Manor might be a better suited to our mother’s specific needs and introduced me to owner/director Dr. Pam Heir. Pam answered all my questions and assured me she could accommodate our mother’s complicated prescription drug regimen and highly-restrictive dietary requirements. Asheir Manor is like a boutique country inn or an upscale B&B: a spectacular home with wrap-around porch and rear patio situated on a beautifully landscaped property; large, tastefully decorated bedrooms with en-suite baths; an open kitchen for home-made meal preparation; a resident dining area; a sitting room and a family room with fireplace for activities or hosting visitors, etc. Pam sets high standards for all aspects of resident care and her wonderful staff of experienced caregivers work diligently to maintain those standards of professionalism while providing compassionate, individualized care for residents. In the spring of 2016, we moved our mother to my sister’s home, but while she was part of the Asheir Manor “family,” she was genuinely happy and really thrived. Every day, as we care for our mother, we strive to match the standards of care established at Asheir Manor.
